European Matured Cheddar

European Matured Cheddar

Cheddar is a traditional English countryside cheese made from grass-fed cows and is built on heritage and tradition.

At Emborg, we recognize the importance of this. Our products are produced in an old-fashioned way in the birthplace of Cheddar and include both our Mature Cheddar and and Vintage Cheddar.

The cheeses are still handmade today, using traditional production techniques, permitting the use of the farmhouse classification by a team of cheese makers.

Emborg Matured Cheddar has matured for 10 months and has a distinctive rich and sweet flavour while Emborg Vintage Cheddar has matured for 16 months and has a robust and full bodied flavour.

Cheddar is a traditional English countryside cheese made from grass fed cows and is built on heritage and tradition.

Emborg cheddar cheese is an award-winning product, nominated for numerous gold awards at the British and International Cheese Awards. Our Red Cheddar has a mild and creamy flavour and is great for toast, sandwich and burgers while the original cheddar has a mild and buttery flavour, and is great for cheese boards, salads and as a delicious snack.

Emborg presents an authentic Italian range, with three premium products.

All of them produced in Italy, with respect to the country's long tradition in cheese production.

Maturing cheese is an art. It helps create the taste, texture and personality of the cheeses. The longer the cheese is matured for, the more intense its flavour. As a cheese matures, small spicy salt crystals are formed within the cheese, and the prevalence of these crystals can give a clue about the age of the cheese.

Add the milder Pecorino Romano to your favourite pasta dish,  or try the Grana Padano grated over a salad or as delicious snack while Emborg Parmigiano Reggiano is perfect in a creamy risotto, with its more distinctive, savoury taste.

Brie cheese is a popular white mould cheese with a creamy and soft texture.

The creamy cheese originates from France and is named after the French city "Brie"  which is placed in the north of France.

Many years ago, Brie cheese was actually a part of the local taxes, that the French had to pay to the king.

The prestige cheese is made from cow's milk and has a delicious mild and buttery flavour - perfect on a piece of fresh bread.

Intense Creamy Camembert

Camembert is a creamy French mould cheese made from cow's milk.

The famous camembert has a soft and creamy texture and an intense nutty flavour.

The cheese was originally made in the village "Camembert" in the Normandie - a very historically important area to the french people, which makes the cheese even more special.

Enjoy it cold on a piece of bread or baked as a french fondue. 

Traditional Soft Danablu

Traditional Soft Danablu

Danablu is a Danish blue cheese made from cow's milk and is matured from the center of the cheese, which gives it a delicious creamy texture. .

Emborg Danablu in known for its intensive flavour and soft creamy  texture.

The flavour has notes of flowers and a high level of glutamate, which is the foundation stone of umami.

Add Danablu to a classic cheese table or enjoy it with a sweet honey and a cracker.

*TIP: Add Danablu in sauces and gratins and achieve the real umami flavour.
