Havarti and plums crisp

  • 8 Emborg Havarti Natural Slices 
  • 4-6 plums
  • 150 ml blackcurrant cordial or red grape cordial
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Crisp bread

Cut the plums in half and remove the seeds. Heat 100 ml blackcurrant cordial or red grape cordial, 1 cinnamon stick and 1 cup sugar to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes until the consistency is a thin syrup.

Add the plums and boil rapidly 3-4 minutes so the plums retain a bit of their texture.

Pour into a glass for storage until serving.

Arrange two slices of Havarti on each crisp bread and serve with the pickled plums.
