Instructions
Dino Sandwich
This is a dinosaur lunch box, but only your imagination sets the limits and you can easily create any theme your kids love!
-
Find your sandwich bread and use a dinosaur shaped cookie cutter, to make the bread dinosaur shaped.
-
Then, spread butter on both pieces and add a few leaves of salad.
-
Now you have to cut out your favourite cheese so it looks like a dinosaur neck and place it on top of the salad, so you are able to see the edges of the cheese. We recommend to use our Emborg European Rich Cheddar with its rich and tasty flavour. Finally, close it up, and add it to the lunchbox.
Dino Egg
This lunchbox hack is super easy and FUN!
-
Simply hard boil your egg for 8-9 minutes and let it cool.
-
When the egg is chilled, draw small dots on it to make it look like a real dinosaur egg. Trust us, your kids will love it!
Blueberry Muffin (10 servings)
You only need one bowl to make these easy and delicious blueberry muffins with 3 simple steps! They are perfect as the sweet element in your kids’ lunchbox or perhaps as a little afternoon treat? This recipe makes 10 servings, so you have enough muffins for an afternoon treat or dessert. Win!
-
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Then whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and a little salt in a large bowl.
-
Add oil, an egg and vanilla extract then stir with a fork until blended evenly and smooth.
-
Mix in the blueberries and divide the batter between muffin cups and bake for 15-20 minutes until the tops are no longer wet, and a toothpick inserted into the middle of a muffin comes out with crumbs - not wet batter.
Snacks
Always remember to fill the lunchbox with your child's favourite snacks to keep their energy levels up during the day.
-
Bring a pot with salted water to a boil and add the frozen Emborg Sweet Garden Peas. Cook them for 3 minutes until they are tender.
-
Drain the peas and arrange the peas and crackers in separate containers so they do not mix with the Dino Sandwich.
-
Finally, remember to include a fork and a napkin, so it is easy to eat.
-
Enjoy!
Tip: you can also use other shaped cookie cutters to make the shape you like. Draw anything you like on the egg, for instance a happy face, small hearts, or perhaps a little note.
