Cheesy Crispy Chicken Burger

This ultra-crunchy super juicy chicken burger delivers a satisfying contrast in every bite. Perfectly cooked and irresistibly indulgent, it’s a comfort-driven favourite dish for the whole family.

Patty

  • In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well until fully incorporated. Then, divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Set aside or let chill in refrigerator.

Breading

  • Prepare three shallow bowls or trays: place the flour in the first, the egg wash in the second, and the breadcrumbs in the third. Dredge each patty, coating first in the flour, then the egg wash, and finally the breadcrumbs.

  • Heat up neutral frying oil to 175°c and deep fry each patty for about 5-6 minutes, or until the patties turn golden brown. Remove and transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain excess oil. Set aside.

Assembly

  • To assemble, spread ketchup on the bottom half of the burger buns.

  • Add 2 Emborg Natural Gouda Slices slices on top of the ketchup, followed by the crispy chicken patty, 2 more slices of gouda, handful of salad leaves, tomato slice, onion slices and topped off with mayonnaise. Repeat this step with remaining burger buns.

  • Top with the other half of the burger bun. Serve with additional ketchup on the side with crispy fries.

If you’re feeling adventurous, add slices of pickled jalapeños for a spicy kick.
