Nasi Goreng Cheese Style

  • 100 g Emborg Shredded Mozzarella
  • 150 g Chicken Breast
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 3 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce (kecap manis)
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Red Chili
  • 1 Whole Onion
  • 3 cups Cooked White Rice
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Green Onion
  • Fresh Cucumber for side servings

In the mood for a true Indonesian classic dish with a cheesy delicious twist? Follow these steps:


Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add chili and garlic and stir for 10-20 seconds.

Add sliced onions and cook for 1 minute.

Then add slices of chicken and cook until it turns white, then add 1 tbsp of sweet soy sauce  (kecap manis) and cook for another minute or until chicken is mostly cooked through and a bit caramelised.

Add the cooked rice and 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis) and stir constantly for 2 minutes until the sauce reduces and the rice grains start to caramelise.

Take the wok off the heat and add Emborg Shredded Mozzarella.

Heat up another skillet on high heat and fry the eggs until cooked.

Serve the Nasi Goreng with chopped red chili, green onion and cucumber.

Finally add the fried egg and enjoy.
