Walnut and Maple Syrup Cake

  • 125 g Emborg Cook & Bake
  • 150 ml Emborg Milk
  • 100 g Walnuts
  • 2 Eggs
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 200 g Maple Syrup
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 300 g Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

Try this delicious cake for a nice and sweet treat. Follow these steps: 


Blend the walnuts until coarse.

Beat the eggs and sugar together until fluffy.

Melt the Emborg Cook & Bake together with the syrup.

Leave it to cool a little and then turn it into the egg mixture with the milk.

Mix the spices, flour and baking soda and sieve the mix into the batter.

Grease a baking tin with extra Emborg Cook & Bake. 

Pour the batter into the baking tin (approximately 20 x 30 cm) and drizzle with walnuts. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 175 °C for 60 minutes.

Leave the cake to cool then cut into small squares of approximately 5x5 cm.

Tip: Serve with fresh mint on top.
