Walnut and maple syrup cake
- 100 g walnuts
- 2 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 200 g maple syrup
- 125 g Emborg Cook & Bake
- 150 ml Emborg Milk
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 300 g wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
Blend the walnuts until coarse.
Beat the eggs and sugar together until fluffy.
Melt the Cook & Bake together with the syrup.
Leave it to cool a little and then turn it into the egg mixture with the milk.
Mix the spices, flour and baking soda and sieve the mix into the batter.
Grease the baking tins with extra Cook & Bake and pour the batter in.
Drizzle with walnuts.
Pour into a baking tin, approximately 20 x 30 cm, and bake in a pre-heated oven at 175 °C for 60 minutes.
Leave the cake to cool then cut into small squares of approximately 5x5 cm.
