Instructions
-
Thaw frozen pastry sheet according to package instruction.
-
Preheat oven to 170°C.
-
Roll the thawed dough into a tight log. Trim the ends of the log to make sure they're even, then cut the log into 1.5cm to 2cm slices.
-
Lightly dust your work surface with sugar instead of flour, then use a rolling pin to flatten each dough piece slightly. The sugar coating will help create a crisp, caramelised surface when baked.
-
Transfer the flattened dough to a lined baking sheet. Sprinkle more sugar if preferred, then sprinkle Emborg Shredded Red Cheddar and lightly press it into the dough.
-
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown & the shredded cheese is lightly toasted.
-
Remove from oven & cool slightly before serving.
-
Enjoy warm or at room temperature - butter, crispy, & perfectly cheesy on top.
-
Once cooled, store them in an airtight container.
