


Vegan Onion Tart with plant-based Cheddar
In the mood for a delicious vegan tart? Try this simple recipe and enjoy a nice tasty dinner.

Instructions

Slice onions and cut puff pastry into a round 30 cm shape.

Heat up 1/5 of the vegetable broth in a pan, then add onion and thyme leaf.

Now cook down for 15 minutes adding a bit more vegetable broth so the onion don’t burn.

Let the onion cool down.

Whisk together chick pea flour and the rest of the broth to a thick batter. Add the cooked onion after.

Place the puff pastry dough in a 22 cm pie dish lined with baking paper.

First, place the plant-based cheddar slices in the bottom of the pie and top with onion mixture. Lastly, fold the sides of the pastry a little over the filling.

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 200 °C.

Once baked, take it out and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
