Emborg Cheesesarap Everyday: Terms & Conditions

  1. Contest Period and Promoter

    1. The “Emborg Cheesesarap Everyday” online contest (the “Contest”) will commence on the 1st of June 2024, 12.00 AM to 30th of June 2024, 12:00 PM with an on-ground event on July 13, 2024 (the “Contest Period”).
    2. This contest is organized by Uhrenholt Philippines (the “Promoter”). The Promoter reserves the right upon giving adequate prior notice to change the duration and/or the commencement and/or expiry dates of the Contest Period.
  2. Detailed Contest Mechanics

    1. Purchase at least one (1) product from the Emborg Shredded Cheeses line. Keep the receipt of your purchase for verification purposes.

      2. Emborg Shredded Parmesan 150g
      3. Emborg Shredded Pizza Topping 200g
      4. Emborg Shredded Cheddar Topping 200g

      7. Emborg Shredded Mozzarella 200g
      8. Emborg Shredded Mozzarella 500g

      10. Emborg Shredded Pasta Cheese 200g
    2. Create your own unique, original version of a Filipino dish or ulam using the Emborg Shredded cheese products mentioned in 2.1.
    3. Take a picture or video of your dish and post on your Facebook or Instagram or TikTok account. Make sure to include the Emborg Cheese product/s used in the dish in the image or video and use the official hashtag #EmborgCheesarap.
    4. Set your post (and account) to public and tag Emborg’s official social media account on the platform you posted on.
    5. Follow Emborg Philippines on its official social media accounts:

  3. Eligibility & Participation Criteria
    1. For the first three weeks, entries must be submitted on or before 12:00 NN every Friday for them to be included in the weekly draw. Entries received after will be for the next weekly draw.
    2. For the last week of the contest run, entries must be submitted on or before 12:00 NN on June 30, 2024. Entries submitted after the deadline will automatically be disqualified.
    3. All entries must fulfill the following requirements:
      1. Use of any Emborg Shredded Cheese variants in the submitted photo or video.
      2. Provide valid proof of purchase of Emborg Shredded Cheese variant for winner verification
      3. Use the official contest hashtag #EmborgCheesarap and tag the official Emborg account depending on what platform the entry was posted on.
      4. Participants must also follow or like the official Emborg accounts stated above.
    4. Participants must be aged 18 or over. Proof of identity and age may be required.
    5. Only participants who fulfill the contest mechanics stated above shall be eligible to win the prize. Incomplete entries and/or participants who fail to fulfill the contest mechanics will automatically be disqualified from the contest without notice.
    6. Participants can share multiple entries per contest week and can join in all four (4) weeks of the contest run, provided that each entry is a unique dish.
    7. Eligible entries that were not declared winners for the contest week will still have a chance to win in the succeeding contest weeks.
    8. The contest is open to all individuals residing in the Philippines except for the following persons: The employees of Uhrenholt and employees of the participating stores, subsidiaries and affiliates, agencies, sponsors, dealers, retailers, or any company associated with the Contest and the immediate family members of such persons.
    9. Only entries posted on the participant’s social media account will be considered as official entries to the contest. Post and account must be set to Public. Any entries posted or submitted through other means, such as private messages, emails, or comments in the comment section of Emborg posts will not be counted as valid entries for the contest.
  4. Selection Process & Announcement of Winners

    1. All eligible participants will be judged through the following criteria:
      1. Adherence to theme (30%) – Points will be awarded for entries that are the participant’s version of a classic Filipino viand (ulam) or dish.
      2. Originality (30%) – Points will be awarded for dish entries that have aspects of originality and unique flair.
      3. Visual appeal (30%) – Points will be awarded to entries that are presented in a creative and appetizing way.
      4. Post engagements (10%) – Points will be awarded to entries that have post engagements such as likes, reactions, comments, and shares.
    2. Winners will be announced every Tuesday of the four-week contest run on Emborg Philippines’ official Facebook (https://facebook.com/EmborgPhilippines).
    3. The winner(s) must be aged 18 or over. Proof of identity and age may be required.
    4. A participant can only win the weekly grand prize of P2,000.00 up to two (2) times throughout the contest period.
      1. However, participants are eligible to qualify for the weekly prize of P150.00 every week of the contest period, regardless of whether they have previously won or not.
    5. All prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for other prizes. The Promoter retains the right to substitute the prizes with alternative prizes of similar value at their absolute discretion without prior notice.
    6. A representative from the FDA will be present to validate the judging and selecting of winners. However, the winners will be selected solely on the discretion of the Promoter and the decision cannot be challenged by anyone.
  5. Prizes and Claiming Process of Winners

    1. Thirty winners will be chosen each contest week.
      1. The top ten (10) entries based on the judging criteria stated above will each receive PHP2,000 through GCash.
      2. The following twenty (20) entries with the highest scores after the top ten (10) will each receive PHP150 through GCash.
    2. The following steps must be taken in order for winners to claim their prizes:
      1. Winners must contact one of the Emborg social media accounts stated above via private/direct message to claim their prize.
      2. Winners must contact the Emborg page within one week or seven (7) calendar days from the winner announcement posting on Emborg’s official pages.
      3. All winners are required to share their full name, mobile number, home address, email address and registered GCash account.
      4. Winners must share the receipt of their Emborg purchase as proof.
      5. If a winner fails to contact Emborg and provide all of the required details within the timeframe specified, the prizes will be forfeited and given to another winner in accordance with the promotion mechanics.
      6. The Promoter to award the prize via GCash to the registered mobile number of the winners, within fourteen (14) calendar days upon receipt of the winners information.
  6. Mechanics for #EmborgCheesarap Cook-off Challenge

    1. The top three (3) entries per week of the online contest (amounting to twelve [12] participants in total) will be invited to an on-ground event in Manila on July 13, 2024.
    2. In the event that the chosen participants are unable to or choose to decline to attend the on-ground event, the subsequent participants will be selected.
    3. The twelve (12) participants will be grouped randomly into three (3) teams, with each team having 4 members.
    4. Each team will be assigned a team lead/mentor for guidance and support in the Cook-Off Challenge.
    5. Teams will be competing against each other by conceptualizing, cooking, and presenting Filipino dishes using Emborg products through three (3) rounds of cooking challenges where each team will be creating 1) an appetizer, 2) a main dish and 3) a dessert.
    6. All dishes will be assessed and scored live at the on-ground event by three (3) esteemed judges using the following criteria:
      1. Taste (40%) – Points will be awarded based on the palatability and flavor of the dishes.
      2. Originality (25%) – Points will be awarded on the uniqueness of the dishes.
      3. Presentation (25%) – Points will be awarded based on the aesthetic appeal of the dishes.
      4. Teamwork (10%) – Points will be awarded based on the camaraderie and harmony shown by each team.
    7. The team with the highest scores based on the criteria above will be announced as the grand winners of the on-ground event.
  7. Prizes and Claiming Process for the Cook-off challenge

    1. The winning team for the on-ground Cook-off Challenge will receive one (1) trophy each, one (1) coffee machine each, equivalent to P11,800.00 and P5,000 worth of Emborg products each.
    2. The remaining participants of the on-ground finale will receive an air fryer worth PHP5,595.00 and P5,000 worth of Emborg products
    3. The prizes can be claimed by the participants right after the conclusion of the on-ground event.
  8. Travel cost compensation for the #Emborgcheesarap Cook-off Challenge

    1. Participants who will be invited to participate in the Cook-off Challenge in Manila will receive compensation from Uhrenholt for airfare, gas allowance, or accommodations for their participation in the contest depending on their location. Details are as follows:

    2. This compensation will be reimbursed by Uhrenholt after the participant arrives at the on-ground event and will be sent through GCash.
    3. Any costs beyond the stipulated amount listed in 6.1 will be shouldered by the participants invited to the on-ground event.
    4. In the event that a participant decides to withdraw from the on-ground event, the Promoter has the right to invite another participant from the chosen winners announced on the Emborg Facebook page.
  9. General Terms & Conditions

    1. Participants may only enter the contest online and by submitting an entry, participants shall be deemed to have read, understood, accepted and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of the contest.
    2. The Promoter is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, unpublished posts, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, telephone, telephone line or other telephone, electronic device or network related problems or errors, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Contest.
    3. If in the opinion of the Promoter, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the Promoter reserves the right to terminate the Contest and determine a winner.
    4. The decision of the Promoter will be final, conclusive and cannot be challenged by anyone. No further appeal or enquiry and/or correspondence will be entertained.
    5. The Promoter shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury in any manner whatsoever suffered by the winners as a result of their participation in the Contest and /or use of the prizes.
    6. All costs, fees and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the winners in relation to the Contest, which shall include but not limited to the cost for transportations, accommodation, meals, personal costs and/or any other costs, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
    7. If there is a dispute about the identity of a participant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the participant.
    8. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. This information you provide will only be used for administration of this Contest. Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are not associated with this Contest and by entering, you fully and completely release Facebook, Instagram and TikTok from any liability arising out of this Contest
    9. By entering in the Contest, the participants give consent and absolute right to the Promoter to use their names, photographs and their entries as materials for the purposes of advertising, marketing, trade and/or publicity, without any prior notice. The Winners shall not be entitled to claim ownership and/or other forms of compensation for the use of the materials by the Promoter.
    10. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and participants (including an participant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any participant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute waiver of those rights.
    11. The Promoter, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions without any prior notice, if required for the smooth running of the Contest.
    12. Personal details will be retained for the purposes of operating this Contest only, unless permission is given for details to be used for future marketing purposes. All entries will become the property of the Promoter.

    14. These terms and conditions of the contest shall be construed, governed and interpreted in accordance with the Philippines laws.
