Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan)
-
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into 4 equal triangles.
-
Roll the croissants: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle towards the point to form a croissant shape. Place the croissants on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
-
Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg to give them a golden, shiny finish.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and crispy.
-
Once the croissants are baked, let them cool for a few minutes. Once slightly cool, carefully slice them open horizontally.
-
Place a slice of Emborg Unsalted Butter, a slice of Emborg Swiss Cheese, and a slice of ham inside each croissant. If you like, spread a small amount of Dijon mustard on the ham for extra flavour. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the filling.
-
Serve the croissants warm for the best taste.
-
Enjoy your ham and cheese croissants with a cup of coffee or tea for a truly delightful experience!
For an extra touch of indulgence, you can lightly toast the filled croissants in the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese slightly and warm the filling.
