Instructions

  • Slice red onions thinly and place in a small container.

  • In a small pot, stir together vinegar, water, salt and sugar, and bring to a boil.

  • Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the onions until completely submerged. Cover and let sir in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving. The pink color will get deeper the more days they sit. Leftover pickles can be stored in the fridge for several weeks but taste best within the first week.

  • Season the plant-based burger patties with salt and pepper, then fry them in a hot pan with oil for 4-5 minutes on each side.

  • Place the plant-based cheddar slices on each patty, allowing them to melt a little.

  • Toast the brioche burger buns and spread the bottom halves with mayonnaise.

  • Place the lettuce on the bottom halves followed by the patties with cheese, the newly pickled onions and the pea shoots. Your masterpiece is now ready to eat.

  • Enjoy your new favourite plant-based burger!

Tip: Add your own touch to your burger by adding other sauces and vegetables.
