In the mood for a traditional Italian dish? Try this plant-based pasta Bolognese – a modern and flavourful take on a classic family favourite!

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
    Add the chopped onion, carrot and garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.

  • Add the plant-based minced meat and fry it for approximately 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.

  • Add the red wine or vegetable stock, canned tomatoes and tomato paste and leave to simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavours meld together.

  • Season with the salt and pepper to taste.

  • Serve the bolognese over your favourite cooked pasta. Garnish with fresh basil and shredded plant-based mozzarella.

Tip: Let the bolognese simmer for longer, in order for the flavours to unfold even more.
